Duration

Requirements
- You will require farm or agribusiness access (if you cannot find a workplace, please let us know as we may be able to assist).
- Students will be required to have their own hi-vis collared shirt, work boots and broadbrimmed hat.
- Applicants will utilise agricultural equipment and perform some manual tasks, an average level of fitness is required.
Please note - applicants are strongly advised to:
- Have basic literacy skills and numeracy skills.
- Have basic digital literacy skills and knowledge, including access to: internet, email and text message.
Assessment
The assessments enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. These assessments may include a combination of demonstration of skills, completion of written tasks, and the creation of portfolios.

Fees Additional Information
Given the nature of the Agriculture qualifications, the units you will undertake in your studies vary greatly depending upon the Agricultural industry, line of work and/or personal unit choices. This means prices for tuition fees can only be given as an approximation to begin with, and materials fees will vary depending on the student cohort.
The student tuition fees published are indicative only and can be subject to change given individual circumstances at the time of enrolment.
AGSCHOOLS FEES INFORMATION Certificate II and Certificate III Free TAFE eligible individuals will pay $60 for an AG SCHOOLS shirt plus a $60 Excursion Fee; there are no other unit fees on top of this. For individuals who are not eligible for FREE TAFE the $60 AG SCHOOLS shirt fee and the $60 Excursion Fee will apply but there are additional unit fees. on 2024 prices the unit fee will be $155.50 (for Certificate II) and $167.50 (for Certificate III Year 1). Certificate III students may select up to six elective units in Year 2 (depending on progression and attendance at school holiday programs), so fees may vary slightly. The unit payments for non-eligible students will be 'broken' into two Semester payments. (Students who hold a current concession card will be eligible for reduced unit fees).
Funding may be made available to eligible individuals by State and Commonwealth Governments. If funding is utilised, this may affect opportunities to access additional funding in the future.
