Course Overview
Overview
Developed in consultation with industry, this course will provide you with a range of specialised knowledge and skills needed to care for, prune and remove trees. Develop a career involving physical strength and fitness, whilst safely and effectively tending to client needs and environmental issues. Whether you're new to arboriculture or have been in the industry for a period of time, your knowledge, skills and ability to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently will certainly be improved with this course.

Public Student & Traineeship: 2 years part-time (on campus and blended learning)
Requirements
- You must be working in the industry to undertake this course or have access to a workplace to develop your skills.
- You must be at least 16 years of age.
- Participants must have sufficient knowledge of the English language to perform work safely.
- Tree climbing is NOT essential to this course but is available in the Climber Specialisation.
Assessment
The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. A range of assessment strategies to meet different student's needs will be selected, including: tests and practical demonstration of skills.
