Overview
This course is ideal for those already well-versed in arboriculture - whether you have completed lower-level qualifications already or have significant practical work experience in the field.
Successful completion of this qualification will provide individuals with a broad range of specialised knowledge and skills in varied contexts to undertake manager and technical consulting roles in the arboriculture industry and as a pathway for further learning required for specialist technical consulting roles in the industry. Students will gain in-depth knowledge on tree identification, diagnosing tree disorders & defects and how to use this knowledge to prepare arborist reports for clients.

Requirements
Students that need to do their pre-requisite units are requested to contact us on 1300 698 233.
- Pre-requisite units:
AHCARB314 implement a tree maintenance program
AHCARB323 Identify trees
AHCARB316 Preform pruning operations
Can be completed as skillset - AHCSS00104 Introduction to arboriculture skillset
- Participants must have sufficient knowledge of the English language to perform work safely.
- Students must have a working knowledge of a Microsoft Word as well as basic knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel. Other more extensive programs will be introduced through the course - such as CAD programs and QGIS.
Field Placement
Day trips within the North-East region may occur.
Assessment
The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. A range of assessment strategies to meet different student's needs will be selected, including tests and projects of both a theoretical and practical nature.
